1 year ago today I got tired of carrying a ring around trying to get my girl friend of 14 months to go on a nice date with me. I tried to get her to go for 2 weeks, but something always came up. So I did what any irrational person would do. I purposed that day on the spot because I was tired of waiting.
It turns out this was a bad move because they don’t know if it is a prank or not.
She said yes very quickly, but she was very suspicious, and didn’t really want her friends to know that I did it on April fools.
12 months later we are celebrating being engage for a year and finally have everything set for the wedding on August 8th.
The real reason to celebrate though is that after 12 monthly payments the ring is paid off! After paying 4 months pay to Vera Wang(She had to go and make rings as well), it feels like I just got the biggest raise of my life!

Congrats! Too bad you’re not getting married on April 1st, that’d be quite an anniversary.

Thanks. We liked August 8th, because 8/8 is 2 infinity symbols.

Well the reason we waited a this long to get married was to be able to pay for the wedding/reception. Wedding is paid for. We are doing a beach wedding in St. Thomas and staying for 10 days. When we get back we are having a reception, so right now finishing that up. Just a couple things left.

Some friends of mine got married on 8/9/10 at 11:12.

Or maybe it was 9/10/11 at 12:13. That sounds more right.
I felt like you were gonna say that on the anniversary you would admit the entire thing was a long April Fool’s joke, and then you would leave her, but not before telling her the ring was fake.

I am waiting for our 80th anniversary for that. She will be so shocked.

Does that make your future children the biggest part of the joke?

Congratulations. I hope the wedding goes well and you have a long and happy life together.
And on the plus side you can move whenever and your wedding album date will still make sense to the natives.

not to be a party pooper - congrats to you both btw
BUT infinity is now a variable based on Aleph
** Aleph number - Wikipedia **

In set theory , a discipline within mathematics, the aleph numbers are a sequence of numbers used to represent the cardinality (or size) of infinite sets . They are named after the symbol used to denote them, the Hebrew letter aleph ().
The cardinality of the natural numbers is (read aleph-naught, aleph-null, or aleph-zero), the next larger cardinality is aleph-one , then and so on. Continuing in this manner, it is possible to define a cardinal number for every ordinal number α, as described below.
The concept goes back to Georg Cantor , who defined the notion of cardinality and realized that infinite sets can have different cardinalities.
The aleph numbers differ from the infinity (∞) commonly found in algebra and calculus. Alephs measure the sizes of sets; infinity, on the other hand, is commonly defined as an extreme limit of the real number line (applied to a function or sequence that " diverges to infinity" or “increases without bound”), or an extreme point of the extended real number line .
